Here’s a lovely and fairly playable fingerstyle guitar arrangement of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now” by Emil Ernebro. The tuning is a variant of open G, DGDGBE, capo 2. I like this tuning because the top four strings are unchanged from standard tuning, yet you get a strong Tonic bass (open G) and a strong Dominant bass (open D). This really opens up the guitar’s range without forcing you to relearn the fretboard.
